Oral and Poster Abstracts submission deadline for oral abstracts October 11, 2024, poster abstracts due November 1, 2024:
The Alaska Invasive Species Partnership is requesting oral presentation and poster abstracts for the 2024 Annual Invasive Species Workshop in Fairbanks, Alaska, Nov. 12^th – 14^th . The oral presentation submissions are closed, however we are accepting poster presentations.  Submit your title and abstract for presentations or posters on this web form.  If you cannot use the web form, submit the abstract to Gino Graziano, UAF Cooperative Extension Service at gagraziano@alaska.edu.  If you have questions contact Gino by email or phone at 907-786-6315.

Member rapid updates are held on Tuesday and Wednesday. To give an update sign up using this form. Rapid updates are 2-5 minutes in length and are meant to share interesting information and stories.

Oral presentation and poster abstract guidelines:
Please submit presentation abstracts by October 11, 2024, and poster abstracts by November 1, 2024. Write your abstract in a Word document and then copy and paste title, authors, and the abstract body into the submission form.  Follow these guidelines to prepare your abstract:

• No more than 300 words
• List primary author first followed by the other authors. Last name first.
• List affiliation of authors in the same order as the authors are listed.
• Spell check and proofread carefully (we will not be editing the abstracts).

Registration: In person and online registration available! We have a two step process for registration. Fill our the registration form here so we have all your information. Then submit the appropriate payment via these hyperlinks for Virtual or In-Person attendance. Virtual price is $100. In-Person price is $160.

Continuing Education Units: The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation typically awards 6-10 continuing education units for the renewal of Certification to apply pesticides in Alaska. We will update with the exact amount of CEU when the agenda is drafted and those CEU are approved. To receive units you need to be present each day and sign in and out with the electronic form we will provide. If you are only able to attend certain days there is a per day CEU.

Have you ever wanted to serve on the AKISP Board of Directors or know someone that would make an excellent board member? Do you know someone deserving of an AKISP award this year? Now is your chance to submit board and/or award nominations! The workshop will include elections of new AKISP Board of Directors as well as recognizing members for their outstanding contributions to invasive species planning and management.
