March 13-14, 2024: AK Certified Pesticide Applicators Workshop, Anchorage, Alaska. This professional development opportunity, which provides continuing education units (CEUs) for individuals to maintain their certification, is offering 5 CEUs for Day 1 and 6 CEUs for Day 2. The workshop will be held in-person and virtually (online) in Room 107 at the UAA Gorsuch Commons (3700 Sharon Gagnon Lane, Anchorage). The fee is $60 per day. Lunch will be provided for those attending in-person, and parking is free in the Willow Lot for those who have registered. Register here!

April 24-25, 2024: Pesticide Applicator Training, online, Alaska. UAF Cooperative Extension Service’s Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP) is offering the final spring 2024 training for Alaskans wishing to become certified pesticide applicators.

May 2, 2024: Using Drones as a Vegetative Management Tool, online. Presented by the Society for Ecological Restoration. This presentation will go over multiple case studies on how drone technology is paired with boots-on-the-ground expertise allowing our restoration ecologists to provide a variety of services.

May 12-16, 2024: 23rd International Conference on Aquatic Invasive Species, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Daily international keynote speakers, discussion panels, opportunities for networking, specialist workshops. International forum to address new and emerging aquatic invasive species issues.
